is the owner and chef from the terrace cafe and darrick bruno. we have plenty of food, we have a lot of food out here this morning and thank you. the chef will be preparing salmon but let me go through some of the amazing dishes we have at the terrace cafe. we do our battered fish. it has some sauteed of veggies. you can put some olive oil on and macaroni and cheese and in front of view -- in front of you, you have a fish wrap. we use jasmine rice and curry powder and tomatoes. a little bit of everything in one thing you will find is that we always go with the organic. you have a spinach and tomatoes. this is the flagship. it is world famous. we do it different than anybody else. with our battered fish, we as a spinach or mescaline mmix. there is a sliced tomato and a chipotle mayo we make in house. i brought a lot of food so you guys can eat. we have a curried chicken with the jasmine rice and yams with pineapples. the reason use the pineapple's is because it allows you to have less sugar. everybody is trying to be healthy and eat right. this is where it starts right here. >> let's keep mov

-old jason pedroza of san bruno. he turned himself in yesterday. police believe the alleged crimes happened while he was working with the center repertory company. the company says he was fired from his job in november, pedroza also worked at a walnut creek ballet school and police are urging anyone who might have had contact with pedroza to contact them. >>> the list of suspects is growing, a fifth person now has been charged in the high-profile killing of a south bay millionaire. 32-year-old katrina marie fritz was arraigned on murder and robbery charges yesterday. detectives claim she is a prostitute who the victim often hired. kumra was killed in a home invasion last november. fritz's brother is one of the three men charged in the case. another suspect prostitute, raven dixon has already been charged as an accessory. >>> on the peninsula today a gun buy-back event spear-headed by two bay area fathers is taking place this morning on the peninsula. menlo park protect our children has raised $30,000 for the event. people can exchange guns for money, no questions asked. roger lee and james

the peak of the evening commute. ktvu's ken wayne is live in san bruno and tells us the accident happened at a construction site along angus avenue, a site designed specifically to prevent that type of accident. >> reporter: absolutely, frank. you can see the signs are pretty clear, no trucks, clearance 11 feet 6 inches, but apparently this truck driver today didn't notice these signs until it was too late. this was the mess left behind after a caltrain slammed into the trailer of a big rig near the san bruno station. from news chopper 2 you can see the trailer box from the truck wedged between the locomotive and cement wall of a new construction project. >> he realized that his vehicle was too tall to get under the overpass. so he at that point attempted to pass up and unfortunately he was blocked in by a string of cars and so at that point he was struck by the train. >> reporter: the good news is no one was hurt, but the locomotive is heavily damaged. trains had to single track around the accident site causing at least half hour delays during the evening commute. >> i could see that t

san bruno pipeline explosion. >>> meanwhile an oversight of utilities finances is in the news this week. the state legislative analyst is raising questions about the public utility commissions oversight of special accounts for utility projects. and it's possible that rate payers have been overcharged. joining us is state senator jerry hill making a push for reform. what do you see right now as the problem with the state's public utilities commission. >> well, the main function of the california public utilities commission, in fact their mission statement says their purpose is to protect public safety through controlling and regulating our public utilities and manage and make sure the rate payers are protected financially. they failed on both counts. you know what happened a couple years ago in san bruno and also the legislative analyst, they don't know how many special accounts there are. i think there are about 180 with billions. they don't know whether it's billions or trillions of dollars that has come out. and they haven't done any audit

to address 2 issues. the first issue is traffic lights on san bruno avenue. even though in 2008 we had the economic down spiral that corridor was thriving and the people that live around the area home owners pay taxes. and i brought up this issue again and again and i would like one very similar form on the website so when you fill this form you can send it to the supervisor in this case supervisor david campos and he can do what needs to be done on these programs because many people do the right thing nobody gets back to them i put about 6 or 7 of these applications and have not heard from anybody. i remember once i brought this up and a supervisor by the name of carmen chew also was addressing it in some way but we never ever heard from those people who talk the talk here but do not walk the walk. the second issue as the director of justice advocacy we talk about our carbon foot print. the tons and tons of methane gas that spews in those areas that are land fill so that factors in to when we say because you know gases travel and that factors into any type of add jude indication a
